2006 Postdoctoral Fellows Research Forum

11 Postdoctoral fellows presented posters for competition at the eighth annual Postdoctoral Fellows Research Forum held Wednesday May 17, 2006.  A panel of five faculty judges chose four postdocs to win awards totaling $2,000. 

1st Dr. Pranavkumar Shivakumar, Dept of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, CCHMC, Mentor Dr. Jorge Bezerra,
won first place, receiving $1,000 
2nd Dr. David Manka , Dept of Genome Science, COM, Mentor Dr. David Millhorn, receiving $500
3rd Dr. Lisa Morey, Dept of Cell Biology, COM, Mentor Dr. Karen Knudsen, tied for third place and each received $250
3rd Dr. Michael Schnekenburger , Dept of Environmental Health, COM, Mentor Dr. Alvaro Puga, tied for third place and each received $250
